God's Will For You

God's Will For You

Growing up I used to think that there was only ONE direction my life could go if I wanted to live for God. I think a lot of us think that way. We think God has a set path and we must take like, date the right people, get the right grades, or take the right job for him to bless us and for us to “be in his will.”

“But, seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33

A big part of being a servant of God is letting him filter through every aspect of our life. How more clear would our “path” be if we included him in everything we did? Majority of the time confusion comes where we exclude God from the conversation (work, relationships, college) we are asking the world “what should we do?” When God has spoken the answers in the word time and time again. You cannot simply say “I don’t know God’s plan for my life” If you haven’t taken the time to read the Bible. That is like deleting maps off of your phone and saying “I don’t know how to get there” while blankly looking at the road ahead.

Let me give you the secret, seek Him first.

But what if you mess up? What if you choose the wrong relationship? What if you choose the wrong school or job? What if you drink? Do you really think a God who created oceans, sunsets, and humans could only have ONE plan on file for your life?! Wrong.

If you choose door A while seeking him first, you’re in his will

If you choose door B while seeking him first, you’re in his will

Don’t live a life quesitoning every single step you take that you are forgetting to step in faith at all.

“Being a chrisitan is less about cautiously avoiding sin and more about corageously chasing God.” - Dietrich Bonhoeffer

God’s will is not something we PLAN out, it is something we LIVE out. You do not have the pen, you have the book which was written and the spirit inside of you. The more you live for Jesus the less concered you’ll be making the “right” choices.

Don't seek God's will so much that you forget to seek God himself.

Love ya most,
