That Unanswered Text

Ever have nights when your phone is on fire because you’re constantly switching between apps trying to find something new. You keep sending texts but every time you check your phone you see nothing but your lock screen? If so, this is for you.

Proverbs 4:23, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”

If you’ve ever been through a tragic life event you know heart ache and the “pit in your stomach” feeling. You know, the text that is just waiting to be replied to, you know the one that you keep reading over and over and just waiting for the typing bubble to come up, that text you feel like an idiot for sending because how could that person ever want you?

The other side of that conversation may lead to bad things. It may lead to heart break, it may lead to internal insecurities, or even worse, sin. “Getting ignored” may just be God’s way of keeping your heart intact for this season of your life. Stop worrying about what he is thinking, stop worrying about what she is doing. God has you, you’re his and he is working good behind the scenes for you. Don’t open up a void by going to that text conversation every day, or finding your worth in the thing that’s glowing in your hand. You are loved more than a snap chat and more than a text message. Where you see REJECTION, God sees REDIRECTION.
